The fact of registering shows the participant&#8217;s conformity with these regulations. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These regulations will be strictly enforced for all participants of the event called COSTA DEL SOL GRAN FONDO. Any incident not included in the same, will be resolved by the Jury of the COSTA DEL SOL GRAN FONDO, the Sports Director of the event, a Member of the Organization and a Representative of the Runners. COSTA DEL SOL GRAN FONDO is a cyclosportive event as defined by the DGT in the Instruction 18\/TV-101, Annex III.2.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">The COSTA DEL SOL GRAN FONDO has two distances of <strong>130km &#8211; 3300m+-.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">The COSTA DEL SOL GRAN FONDO will be held on Saturday 2nd October 2026 from 08:00 hours. The start and finish line will take place in the town of Estepona. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7cacef3 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"7cacef3\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;background_background&quot;:&quot;classic&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fbd7b1c elementor-widget__width-inherit elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"fbd7b1c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Art.3 SPORTS BEHAVIOUR AND RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b93eba7 elementor-widget__width-inherit elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b93eba7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COSTA DEL SOL GRAN FONDO is held with absolute respect for the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants must respect the environment in which the event takes place and keep the surroundings clean. To this end, they must eat and drink WITHOUT LEAVING ANY CONTAINERS OUTSIDE THE CONTAINERS provided for this purpose.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS POINT SHALL REQUIRE THE IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION OF THE RUNNER, who may be disqualified by a simple statement from any member of the organising team of the Race. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants will be disqualified from the competition if they show violent behaviour or litter in nature. The route map will be published on the official event website. Any changes or modifications to the route will be made public through the same channels.<\/p><p>Each participant must follow the entire marked route, without skipping any signs and passing through all checkpoints.<\/p><p>In addition to the fixed checkpoints indicated on the official website, the Organisation may place \u2018surprise\u2019 checkpoints or equipment checkpoints at any point along the route.<\/p><p>Each participant is obliged to respond to requests and questions from any marshal, doctor, nurse or person in charge of refreshments, whether at stipulated checkpoints or at any other point along the route.<\/p><p>It is strictly forbidden to receive external assistance or supplies during the race outside the points designated by the Organisation: these will coincide with the official race supply points. Similarly, it is forbidden to be accompanied by persons other than participants registered for the race.<\/p><p>Each refreshment point will have a specific closing time, and it is essential to pass through before the established closing time in order to continue in the race.<\/p><p>Each refreshment station will offer food and drinks that will vary depending on the kilometre where it is located. It is strictly forbidden to follow the runners in any type of motor vehicle or vehicle on wheels (skates, bicycles, etc&#8230;), and the Local Police will be expressly ordered to remove them from the circuit. A broom vehicle will be available at the tail end of the race to pick up runners who for any reason do not wish or are unable to follow the race. If a runner refuses to open a bag, the Organisation may refuse to collect the bag. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>The organisation is not responsible for the materials inside the bag, nor for their loss or breakage.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-55cfd25 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"55cfd25\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;background_background&quot;:&quot;classic&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3ed0257 elementor-widget__width-inherit elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"3ed0257\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Art.13 MEDICAL ASSISTANCE AND EMERGENCIES <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a3a5559 elementor-widget__width-inherit elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a3a5559\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Throughout the race there will be several medical and security teams that will be coordinated with 112 by the organisation of the Costa del Sol Gran Fondo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These teams will be distributed among the different refreshment posts and the runner will be able to request their help or assistance if needed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Random or general medical checks may be carried out at certain points. Refusal to carry out a check-up or disrespect to the doctor or assistant who requests it will result in the immediate invalidation of the race bib. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All riders shall submit to the doctor&#8217;s judgement whenever requested to do so by the doctor, the assessment of the medical team taking precedence over any other assessment, whereby the doctors may:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eliminate from the race (by cancelling the race bib) any runner who is deemed unfit to continue.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Order the evacuation of any runner they consider to be in danger.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Order the hospitalisation of any rider when this is deemed necessary.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d2259e6 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"d2259e6\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;background_background&quot;:&quot;classic&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-89acc23 elementor-widget__width-inherit elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"89acc23\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Art.14 ABANDONMENTS <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5ed06a0 elementor-widget__width-inherit elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5ed06a0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Withdrawals must be made at the checkpoints. If, due to an accident or injury, a runner is immobilised and unable to reach a checkpoint, they must activate the rescue operation by contacting the organisation by telephone using the emergency mobile phone number indicated on their race number.<\/p><p>Once at the refreshment station, the runner must inform the refreshment station manager of their intention to withdraw from the race so that their race number can be cancelled and they can be identified as having withdrawn.<\/p><p>Transport will be available to evacuate runners who withdraw from the race. They must make their own way to the control points to be picked up.<\/p><p>If the withdrawn runner chooses to return by their own means, they must also inform the person in charge of the refreshment station of their withdrawal so that they can cancel their race number and identify them as having withdrawn, as otherwise the Organisation will consider them lost and activate the rescue style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The organization is not responsible for any accident that could be the cause or victim of the participant, which must be covered by the insurance of the license itself.
